LKAB:s Visitor Centre

The mine in Kiruna is classified as the world's largest underground iron ore mine, a fierce operation where the ore is mined deep below the ground surface with driverless trains and remote-controlled machines. Visningsgruvan LKAB's Visitor Center is one of Sweden's best attractions and has received the highest rating in the international guidebook Lonely Planet.

By bus directly from the tourist center you go straight down the mountain and to LKAB's Visitor Center at 540 meters level. The guide shows you around the 20,000 square meter visitor facility and in the authentic mining environment there are exhibits, machines and films that show how processing and mining are done.

Icehotel

Visit the Icehotel and the arctic winter landscape of Northern Lapland, the place in Sweden that is covered with a thick layer of sparkling white snow for the vast majority of months of the year, and where Torneälven's traffic consists of snowmobiles and dog sleds.

In addition to the Icehotel being a hotel, it is also an art exhibition with changing original art of snow and ice. Every winter, Icehotel is created in new forms, entirely from Torneälven's ice.

 Ripan Kitchen

Ripan always strives to choose the ethical and environmentally friendly option, and always chooses as local ingredients as possible. In the wine cellar, the wines that marry best with the flavors on the menu with Lappish flavors are stored, if you want to learn more about Lappish flavors, Ripan Kitchen offers cooking classes and inspiring drink tastings.

To create the dining experience, Ripan has used the three cultures in town and nature's own colors and shapes, resulting in the tasting menu portraying Kiruna's cultures and the Arctic lifestyle.

Icehotel Restaurant

An escape from the freezing temperatures, but still with the ice and the surroundings in focus. With local, selected ingredients, delicacies such as moose, fish, reindeer and berries (Åkerbär) are served. You can either choose from the dishes in their À la carte menu or pre-book an ice menu with the drink package that is specially designed for the meal experience.

The cuisine puts a continental twist on the local ingredients used, which are sourced from the rivers, bogs, forests and mountains of their surroundings.

The incredibly beautiful ice from Torneälv adds another exciting element to your dining experience in the form of plates, bowls or table decorations

Camp Ripan

Camp Ripan is a slightly more unusual hotel, as guests stay in comfortable cabins with hotel standards and nature just around the corner. A private location close to everything; relaxation, activities and service. Camp Ripan has 90 tastefully furnished cabins with bathroom, cable TV, internet connection and telephone. Choice of materials, furnishings and design breathe simplicity and purity just like the nature, atmosphere and culture of the mountain city. The inspiration for the facility comes from the three cultures in the city; the Swedish, the Tornedal and the Sami.

Icehotel

At Icehotel there are 3 different hotels, there is Icehotel Vinter which is open from December-April and there is an art suite and ice room to sleep in, there is Icehotel 365 which is open all year round and the rooms available to sleep in there are art suite 365, deluxe suite 365 hilla, deluxe suite 365 jáuvre, deluxe suite 365 johka and design suite. The last hotel is traditional hotel rooms and cabins that are also open all year round, and the rooms available there are Arctic cabin, Nordic cabin, Kaamos hotel room and Kaamos deluxe room.

Abisko Mountain Lodge

At Abisko Mountain Lodge, you can choose between staying in cabins or in the hotel itself. If you choose to stay in a cabin, you pay for bed linen, breakfast and final cleaning per person. Meanwhile, if you choose to stay in a hotel, there are 4 different rooms to choose from, Twin Room, Single Room, Double Room and Superior Room, and then WiFi, bed linen, breakfast and free access to Relax and Sauna are included.
